Real deployment is a vague reference, as city deployments are far different than rural deployments for example, and depending on your scenario conditions may vary, for example placing nodes in street lights (+14 mts high) with a 5dBi antenna on top of a metro line gave us +30 mts effective coverage, but we had additional obstacles like trees, street signs, parked trucks, etc, as a rule of thumb you have to account 10dB of your link budget for unexpected conditions, like rain, etc. Placement/orientation of the antenna is a factor than can improve your scenario too.
Asking for both telosb and z1 motes is a clever way to get more answers ;) but the truth is the RF impedance matching of the Z1 mote is slightly different from the telosb, haven't tested range on the telosb, but I have seen minor differences, so numbers may vary. Hope it helps, --Antonio Thanks in advance for any answers. > > Regards, > > Alejandro. > > _______________________________________________ > Tinyos-help mailing list > [email protected] > https://www.millennium.berkeley.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tinyos-help > -- -- Antonio LiƱan Colina R+D+I Engineer @: [email protected] @: [email protected] ------------------------------ Advancare T: +34 93 582 02 70 http://www.advancare.com http://www.zolertia.com http://zolertia.sourceforge.net http://webshop.zolertia.com
