How do you figure that the msp430 can't get a clock granularity of 1us? have you looked at any of the more modern msp430s? The 5438 can easily run at 8MHz at 1.8 v is very low power and a pretty reasonable chip. Yeah its TI so it is still weird but it is liveable. I'm running the timers on the 5438 with a 1us granularity. The basic timing definitions on the msp430 tinyos implementation assumes a 1us ticker. > > On Fri, Oct 19, 2012 at 11:44 AM, Antonio Liñán C. <[email protected]>wrote: > >> On Fri, 2012-10-19 at 11:32 +0200, wasif masood wrote: >> > >> > >> > thanks Antonio, but Z1 has the same resource constrainsts as that of >> > Telosb platform which I want to avoid for sure. >> >> Only the ram constrain, I know, but I had to include it along with the >> other 2 motes I have recommended to feel good about it ;-), however I'm >> curious about why you prefer working with non msp430-based platforms. >> >> --Antonio >> >> > On Fri, Oct 19, 2012 at 9:30 AM, Antonio Liñán C. >> > <[email protected]> wrote: >> > On Fri, 2012-10-19 at 09:14 +0200, wasif masood wrote: >> > > >> > > >> > > Hi all, >> > > >> > > >> > > I am planning to buy some nodes but now I am no longer >> > inclined >> > > towards Telosbs any more.
