Hi I am actively using the environment that I've cobbled together over time that uses the msp430 gcc toolchain.
I am currently using Ubuntu 11.10 on an older Mac Book Pro (running natively). I also have several Ubuntu and Debian based Virtual Machines running on Parallels. This later set up runs on a modern iMac (i5 quad core). The development environments are installed using the instructions given at Development_Environment<https://github.com/tp-freeforall/prod/blob/msp430-int/00b_Development_Environment> On Wed, Sep 12, 2012 at 12:04 AM, Luis Villaverde <[email protected]> wrote: > Hello form Spain, I am newbie with Tinyos/nesc > I have read about it (docs and the book) and I have the sensation that > it's a "inmature" system, for education proposal, and it needs more support. > (95% of cases that I read, the users are students in an university course > -my case too-) > > So, I read a lot of problems for install a development platform, for > example Eclipse (recommended ganimede orEurope version) + Yeti2 (a dead > project now) + Graphical Editing Framework > (i have installed tinyos in last ubuntu version, eclipse indigo and yeti2 > without problem, but when install the GEF, yeti2 perspective disappears... > all in a virtual machine in my macbook with Fusion 5) > > Then, I want to know what are you using for programming&debugging. > I think the big problem for us is the difficult for starting, because it's > harder to install the system than you can work and program. > > Thanks in advance > Luis > > > _______________________________________________ > Tinyos-help mailing list > [email protected] > https://www.millennium.berkeley.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tinyos-help > -- Eric B.
