The only dependency on TW 5.2.0 is the quick table (e.g. table-csv) so you can use all features with 5.1.23 except quick table. If you use table-csv in 5.1.23, it will create the table, but the sort function will not work as expected. There is no risk of data loss. By the way, as TW always recommends, take a full backup before using new tools.
