Birthe, not until you mentioned it since I am still in my reinventing the wheel phase when it comes to tiddlywiki meaning I try to do things myself at first or go with smaller parts of the problem to look up to learn what tiddlywiki can do and how I can use it. So I have yet to take a closer look at all the wonderful things the community has already done with it beyond certain very specific parts. Thanks for pointing me to it. :) As for the liquorice: I have tried the pure stuff, not for migraine just how it tastes compared to the candy version and have left it at that one time, because I don't like the taste. So thanks for mentioning it, but I think I will leave this one out.
Tony, maybe it is because of how often I have seen/heard the term 'mansplaining' used so out of its original context as a way to shut someone up, but I feel genuinely bad that you had to ask yourself if you were doing it just because I happen to be a woman. Don't get me wrong: I met man in my life - luckily few - that absolutely were explaining things to me in a condescending tone even though they should have had ample evidence to assume I would know those things, so I do know it is a thing. I just think tone - even if it is harder to convey in written text - and especially context matters. In your case: You don't know me beyond a few messages, which mostly were about tiddlywiki. You can't necessarily tell how my remark about my migraine was meant and seeing how it can be interpreted multiple ways you clearly genuinely wanted to help. Especially in a time where it feels that more and more people jump onto the 'here is the simple solution and that is the bad guy' answer to deal with the chaos that has become a part of their life. I know those things and am aware of them since I find the topic fascinating, but I am also aware that you would not know that or had any way to assume I would. Also it feels already great when someone doesn't either dismiss migraine as just a headache or just tells one to take pain killers and be done with it. My sympathy for the pinched nerve, I hope you found something that at least can alleviate the pain. As someone suffering from various mental health problems and not ruling out that my wrist pain is somehow fully related to them and not actually a physical thing - the final verdict is still out on what the cause is - I have a personal interest in the topic and am glad that most people finally at least slowly come around to think that mental health isn't a myth or can be dismissed as just someone being crazy and that it can have actual impact on physical well being as well as in reverse pain and illness also having an impact on ones mental health. In a more general view I am for the scientific method and science in general, but I am aware that it is not perfect and does not have the answer to everything. For instance it is clear that covid-19 is a real threat from what is happening in the world alone, but I maybe a little bit more skeptical when someone tells me how eight hours of sleep are necessary citing one study when I can show them three others with various conclusions, exactly because like most things in life there is no one size fits all answer. I also feel like more and more people from all walks of life and with very differing views lose their ability for empathy towards anyone not in their specific group or groups they agree with and to listen to people as nuanced individuals instead of as part of a label. For instance no not everyone who dislikes a female-led movie is sexist, someone isn't being helped by being told to 'check their privilege' when they are fearing for their existence after having lost their job and not finding something new in months just because they happen to be white and to go full circle not every man is 'mansplaining' just because the other person in the conversation happens to be female. I say it feels like because I am aware confirmation bias is a thing and the loudest voices are the ones that get heard the most. I am sure there are many lovely individuals who don't live by a us vs. them mentality.
