I don't really like the way the default theme handles the sidebar when it changes to the 'mobile' layout personally. I'd rather it cover the content instead of move to the top of the page. I chose the dark theme because there will be pictures and videos, and I think dark is much less distracting to that kind of content than light is, especially in a dark room.
