Make sure you back up your wikis, that is just a general rule. But to upgrade all you do is replace the old executable with the new one, you shouldn't need to do anything else. There are some bugs in 1.5.2 with the file server and changing to using more of the core saver, these are fixed in the next version that will be released at some point.
2 can be avoided by just replacing the executable instead of trying to manually import things into other wikis. I don't know what is causing 4, I haven't run into any problems like that and I don't know what would cause it.
