Greetings Slipfans, Last night kicked off the first leg of the Sea-town to High Sierra mini-tour with a seriously strong start. Seattle is in the midst of one of those incomparable strings of beautiful summer weather and all around were in high spirits, including BAM. As Brad said before the encore, 'we don't get to Seattle very often, might as well go all out...' (or something to that effect.) Once again I was blown away by where the band is taking their new sound in terms of signal processing, loops and out right experimentation. I'm digging it. Alsoa was an absolute highlight for me as was seeing Brad at one point jump up on Andrew's kickdrum and play there for a few minutes while Andrew beat the hell out of the cymbals. Tomorrow night in P-town should be something else. Mike Dillon's band Hairy Apes BMX will open. Should be good, wish I could make it!
