San Francisco was an off the charts night, what great energy in the room.
It needs a longer review and one will be forthcoming on JamBase. So, I'll
write a shorter review of a lesser, but also great, show, because it's
fresh in my mind. I don't think anyone taped the show, so these words
could be all that remain from a night at SoHo in Santa Barbara.

I thought the show at SoHo was great, different than any other show this
tour. About two minutes into the show, the power went out in the entire
place for 20 minutes. People brought candles up to the stage, used cell
phones as flashlights, and all the while, Andrew continued to pound the
skins, creating some sick beats while Marc and Brad both jumped on the
grand piano that was there, it turned out to be an amazing improv that
they brought back around when the lights came back on. Songs included a
nasty Fuji, one of the best in a while, some new numbers like "Fear of
Falling" and "Chasing Rabbits" plus the return of "Chicago" and "Back in
15 Minutes" as well as a grand piano "Weight of Solomon" encore. Santa
Barbara is a nice town. Odd, but nice.

see you tonight in LA or tomorrow in SD.
