All,

To celebrate the list's phoenix-like rebirth, I would like to offer the
following multi-show B&P. You can find setlists for all these shows on
SlipBase.

10/23/03 - Revolution Hall - Troy, NY (2 discs)

This show has yet to circulate because I only just stumbled on the local
hero (Ed Guidry) who was the only person who taped it. It's a very nice
recording, albeit somewhat on the quiet side, with vocals somewhat subdued.
It won't make you forget your Cleantone Matrix recordings, but it was a
great show, well worth hearing. You can find my review in the Graffiti pages
if you want gory details.

11/21/03 - Pearl Street - Northampton, MA (2 discs)

This show tore off the top of my head, MixMastered my frontal lobes, and
left me gasping for breath out on the sidewalk. Not only that, I really
liked it. Up until now it has only really circulated on the various download
servers. Here it is as an audio dub, with the previously present erroneous
track separations corrected. Again, you can check out the Graffiti pages for
my review. This one is a Cleantone recording.

12/30/03 - Lupo's at the Strand - Providence, RI (3 discs)

After hearing this one, I can't believe more people didn't ask Cleantone for
it. The playing is brilliant and the recording is a classic Cleantone work
of art. I would call this one of the must-haves of '03.

3/4/04 - Surprise Me Mr. Davis - Savannah's - Albany, NY (3 discs)

If you saw any of these shows, you know how brilliant they were. If you
didn't catch any shows, maybe you read the rave reviews. (Again, you can
find mine for this show on the Graffiti pages.) Well, now you can check it
out for your own bad self. Like Revolution Hall, this show was taped by Ed
Guidry, with his mics on ceiling clamps about 10 feet from the stage. Even
with a ton of crowd noise (which only gets annoying towards the end of the
night when lots of young'uns apparently ran out of attention span and
exceeded their recommended alcohol intake) this is a wonderfully fun
recording. It gives you a really good sense of what it was like to stand
right at the stage in this tiny, packed club while Mr. Davis tore the roof
off.

You can ask for as many or as few of these shows as you like, but YOU MUST
REPLY TO ME OFF-LIST. I need an email from you to:

lists *at* moondogeast *dot* org

telling me you're interested.

I'll take as many as I can and will post another note when I'm full. If you
get an email with instructions from me, that means you're in.

If you don't make the cut on this one, don't despair. Once I finish with
this batch, I'll post the offer again on the Graffiti pages. But I wanted to
give the good ol' list first crack.

peace,

hoby
