my take on this is that if the show sounds like crap then most people
will not want it anyway; only the few people who were at the show, or
the show was on their birthday, etc. are gonna want to get a copy.

this assumes, though, that the traders remember to tell each other what
shows are good/bad, and maybe this is where many traders get snooty
about quality.  I don't think, though, that once a bad seed is out
there that it is just going to spread like a plague - worse case
scenario is that a handful of traders waste $1.50 on blank cds and
$1.25 on postage.  Not even that if people are using SHN.  which they
should be ;)

speaking of which, who is using shn or flac these days?  i mentioned
this before but got no response: if you've got md5/txt files (or
fingerprint/txt files if you're using FLAC) then please send them to me
so that I can archive them on db.etree.org.  It hasn't gotten a new
show added to the md5 database since summer 2002.
