Last night with leslie, andrew, and marco was a real nice treat - and hopefully can serve as a holdover until March (there are some new dates announced on theslip.com). The AlterKnit theater is a *really* tiny space within the Knitting Factory (maybe 30-40 people) - and Marco and Andrew filled it with some improv-heavy, tempo-changing explorations. They played for 50-55 minutes straight (according to Jim and one other who was taping with what looked like a real nice setup), and then encored with a thelonious monk tune that was just gorgeous.
Definitely seemed like everyone in attendance enjoyed themselves, and that Marco and Andrew exhausted themselves through music-making....with smiles, of course. -dave --------------------------------------- ** How do you enjoy the Pleasant Presence of the Present Tense? ** Web archive at http://email.theslip.net ** To unsubscribe: Send an e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the text 'signoff theslip' in the body of the message
