Hello everyone,
We are aware of the signing issues on macOS. All TeXmacs DMGs are signed
with a CNRS/Sectigo key. However, it appears that on newer macOs, Apple
does not accept DMGs unless they are signed with an Apple certificate.
We are currently in discussions with the CNRS to obtain an Apple
developer account, which would allow us to sign the DMGs with an Apple
certificate.
Best regards,
Liza

Dear all,
the dmg and the app is not signed correctly. Instead of an Apple
certified key, the key is certified by other CAs. MacOS will only
accept Apple certified keys for the for pay developer program.
Regarding the information that Massimiliano gave: with Sequioa Apple
changed the security model. Right-clicking is not possible anymore,
instead you have to go to system settings now:

Somehow my mail about this from two weeks ago, did not make it to the
list.

Hi Liza,
Thank you for your work on TeXmacs.
Let me tell you, that I was not able to install TeXmacs on my iMac
Apple M3 running Sequoia 15.3.
I allowed to open the *.dmg with special security options.
But it refused to open the app. So: no success.
what does this means? What happens when you try to open the app.
Also, sometimes double-click the first time is inhibited for security
reasons: one should right+click and select Open, and there she is
given the possibility to override the “quarantine” state.
Q: is there a possibility to install your TeXmacs version e.g. via
home-brew?
BTW I had no problems to open and run MOGAN fork and also LiiiSTEM fork.
Both apps installed without any problems and work wonderful.
So I would like to ask: what ist the difference w.r.t. the apple
acceptance of the *.dmg’s?
PS : And I have also the best experiences to work with Scheme s7
(Goldfish) with MOGAN.
I tried many examples from the books EOPL, SICP, SAP (Scheme and the
Art of Programming) and
SoC (Schematics of Computational/Manis & Little) or ’Concrete
Abstractions' (Hailperin et al.).
Best Wolfgang

Hello everyone,
Thank you all again for all your feedback about the testing version
! We’ve been able to fix many bugs thanks to your help.
We have 3 new beta build for Windows, Linux (AppImage) and Android
available here : https://www.texmacs.org/builds/
* For Windows and Linux, these builds are close to release
candidate. So intensive testing is welcome.
* For Android, this is the very first beta build (for armv8
only). Please tell us if you are able to install, launch it,
load the documentation and read the documentation. We are aware
of many bugs, and we are working on making the build more stable.
Best regards,
Liza
