Does https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=745765#c1 help you? Essentially: Edit the lines in /usr/share/texlive/texmf/web2c/fmtutil.cnf that are within the pdftex section and remove the "#!" in front. Cheers, Tobi
