Dear all,
Is there a fix for the issue discussed on
http://www.linux.cz/pipermail/texlive/2011-March/000105.html yet?

I've opened a Fedora bug for this
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=720191

Any fix would be appreciated as it's killing my thesis writing. Why should it?

I use the excellent textext plugin for Inkscape. This plugin allows you to
write arbitrary LaTeX in SVG images. In the background it generates a PDF and
then uses the magic of cairo to pull out the written text as a vector graphic.
As pdflatex is defaulting to type3 fonts, cairo is doing its best, however the
best it can do with a raster typeface is to sample it at 72dpi which, as you
can imagine, makes things unreadable.

As my thesis is on diagrams :) I'd appreciate a fix (or workaround) as soon as
possible.
