I tested the latest Fedora-Workstation-Live-42-20250406.n.0.x86_64.iso just in 
case there was some subtle difference between that and Adam's test live. Also, 
this time I did EXACTLY what you did above, which is the most efficient 
procedure for someone who knows what they're doing. This time it worked and I 
got to the "Review and install" page without error. The first time, I was 
stumbling around a lot before finally getting the settings right, and that 
might have triggered something that someone who knows what they're doing would 
never see. I'm guessing a lot of people using this for the first time will 
trigger what I saw, but I can't reproduce it now.
