Please note: throughout the email, "accepted" and "proposed" blockers are reversed. Everything listed as an "accepted" blocker is in fact a proposed one, everything listed as a "proposed" blocker is in fact an accepted one. > 3. gnome-shell — Fedora 42 beta unable to shutdown despite "No inhibitors" — > NEW > ACTION: Upstream to diagnose issue > > 3. gnome-shell — https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2355033 — NEW > Fedora 42 beta unable to shutdown despite "No inhibitors" > On Fedora 42 Beta running in a virtual machine, sometimes the user > can't shut down directly from the GNOME menu. This is fully diagnosed already, we know exactly what's going on (it's caused by a change in how systemd handles inhibitors). The remaining issues are what GNOME wants to do about it upstream ideally, what is possible to do within the F42 timeframe (which may be nothing but "document it"), and whether this is bad enough to constitute a blocker. > 6. mdadm — [live] Can't reuse existing RAID partitioning — POST > ACTION: QA to verify fix https://github.com/md-raid-utilities/mdadm/pull/159 I actually already wrote and verified another proposed fix, https://github.com/md-raid-utilities/mdadm/pull/160 . The issue is getting upstream to accept either of the proposed fixes. We can backport one or the other without upstream approval if necessary, but this is a case where it'd really be best not to diverge from upstream if possible, so I'm continuing to argue with upstream over this whole check. -- Adam Williamson (he/him/his) Fedora QA Fedora Chat: @adamwill:fedora.im | Mastodon: @ad...@fosstodon.org https://www.happyassassin.net -- _______________________________________________ test mailing list -- test@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe send an email to test-le...@lists.fedoraproject.org Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/test@lists.fedoraproject.org Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
