This crash occurs while its searching for repo data:

22:21:44,035 INFO packaging: Error downloading treeinfo: [Errno 14]
curl#37 - "Couldn't open file /run/install/repo/treeinfo"

Which it can't find because I haven't had a chance to enable wifi.
Before I can get around to enabling wifi, the installer crashes. So
whatever testing you do would apparently need to deprive netinstall of
a network, i.e. no cabled testing.
