Isn't the context booting of install media? On BIOS computers this uses 
isolinux, not GRUB. UEFI computers use GRUB2. I don't know how sophisticated 
the graphics mode settings can be in isolinux without putting more modules on 
the media and a more sophisticated isolinux.cfg.
