Thanks for the link and the response. That was my first thought;
unlike the ticket, on my system removing rsyslog wants to uninstall
many more packages. I can keep track of them, and re-install them after
I install syslog-ng. They could both be installed in F15, so I
presumed the error could be rectified; from the ticket, it appears it
won't. It's good to be aware of that in order to make a decision.
On f16 one could have both packages on the system to the same time.
It looks like this was an error, as it is not intended to have installed
both.
