Installed Wednesday's fc17 via pxeboot. Install went normally except
for quadracially
downloading from a Fedora server instead of honoring my "askmethod" request.
As before, the system went into the catatonic mode after several
minutes' typical activities.
The clock stopped running. No response to keyboard. Mouse cursor still
responds to movements.
The previous install with the Nvidia driver had operated for about a day
without problems since the
most recent update (and Nvidia reinstall). Unfortunately installing
from pxeboot to sda7 seems to have
damaged Fedora on sda6. Win7 still works.
