Hi all, I was looking at the bug "Kernel panic when turning off screen backlight using laptop Fn key":
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=748210 The oops is caused by the null pointer dereference in the module ideapad-laptop.c and it affects, as the name says, almost all Lenovo Ideapad laptops/netbooks. It is a regression in the kernel 3.1 and a patch is available here: https://lkml.org/lkml/2011/10/19/485 http://www.mail-archive.com/platform-driver-x86@vger.kernel.org/msg02343.html The Fedora's package kernel-3.1.0-7.fc16.src.rpm is not patched.
