I just checked memory consumption of init versus systemd in F15. It seems at the moment systemd is taking 4-5 times more memory compared to init (1.5-3MB vs. 600kB). May we expect the final release to be somewhat smaller? I know the "top" values are often not the best source to compare memory usage, but ATM I have no better one. It may be, that systemd saves memory somewhere else.
