Quote/Cytat - Nick White <[email protected]> (Tue 10 Dec 2013 07:59:42 PM CET):

We have been also working on some tools, cf. e.g.

https://bitbucket.org/jsbien/ndt/wiki/z_shapes

but had to suspend the work because of the lack of resources.

Looks intriguing. Are these tools to go with the Paradiit project,

No

or Tesseract,

Ultimately they were intended to work with Tesseract or Gamera.

or are they freestanding?

For the time being, yes.

That wiki really makes me
wish I could read Polish...

Thanks for your interest.

The tools which are usable are documented in English in the respective man pages. An overview is available at

http://bc.klf.uw.edu.pl/298/

and for Windows users also at

https://sas.elluminate.com/drtbl?sid=2008350&suid=D.EACBAF1295BF570E4ADA4006707E03

ocrodjvu has a direct relation to Tesseract, djvusmooth can be considered a proofing tool.

The screenshots linked in my previous post demonstrate a tool which can be considered a runnable specification: in principle it has all the requested features, but is too slow and buggy.

There is also another tool, which is quite efficient, but is of little practical importance because it misses too many features:
