It has been a while since I built a Linux box. I decided
to load the new Mandrake 8.0 on the second hard drive of an old Win98 box I
have. I intended to build a dual boot system with Win98 on drive 1 and
Linux on drive 2. The install progresses just fine through partitioning
the second drive and defining the mount points for /, /home, etc. The
install fails however, now the exact message escapes me, with a message
something like "no basesystem found".
Any advice? I am using a CD created from an image
file. It looks like all folders and files are present on the
CD.
