But the point is, if Microsux wasn't running scared, they wouldn't BOTHER
trying to trash Linux in the press, would they?

Microsoft is about the only major player in the IT market who hasn't
embraced Linux, purely because it's competition for them.

Also, don't forget, Microsoft used a copy of RedHat Linux and StarOffice as
proof, in court, that they didn't have a monopoly on desktop operating
system environments. the statement was something to the nature of "These
guys are giving us a run for our money", as I
remember.
