Dear netters,
Last time I install the samba server, with all your help it works pretty fine...I
think I have to do the following:
1. configure the smb.conf
2. smbpasswd add
3. samba restart
4. add enableplaintextpassword in /HKey...../Vnetsub in windows registry.
This works.
Now I try to install on another PC.... and I have followed above things...
but the PC i.e S06 is still nowhere to be found in my network neighborhood...
I remember the last time I can still see the S04, even if I haven't had any directory
shared...
now....it's nihil!
This is the current config...
it's a brand new install of RH 6.3 CLE
I can ping from other wstation to S06 by alias or by IP
I can ping from S06 to other wstation by IP but not by alias.
Please help me!!!
