Something that sometimes works for me:
Unplug it from the wall and pop out the battery.
Let it sit without any power for a while.
Try booting using wall-power only.
Try booting using batter-power only. (now that the battery has been out
for a while)
On occasion I get really hard crashes that don't let me power on again;
popping the battery seems to do the trick.
