I just recently ordered some PCs with the ATI 8MB Xpert 98 video card in them (well, they were supposed to have that anyway), instead I got them with 16 MB ATI Rage 128 Pro cards in them. I see that XFree86 supports Rage 128 and Rage 3D Pro but I can't find anything about supporting Rage 128 Pro. I tried XFree86-3.3.6 but even following the directions to use the SVGA driver rather than the Mach64 driver met with failure.
Does anyone have or know of someone who has Linux (RedHat 6.1) and XFree86 (either 3.3.5 or 3.3.6) running with the Rage 128 Pro chipset?
I've scheduled a return with Dell to get a credit and am ready to go out and buy ones I know work, but I thought I'd check here first.
