Some of the larger monitors can certainly run at 2400x1800 res. So a 28" screen would 
be useful here. Of course, when you get into really specialist monitors like this you 
usually have all kinds of other fun issues which need addressing to get them to work 
properly. E.g. wearing the special clothing that comes with the monitor (I'm not 
joking either) :-)
