~ 1000: locate xpm.h
locate: warning: database /var/lib/slocate/slocate.db' is more than 8 days old
/home/httpd/rpm2html/xpm.html
/usr/X11R6/include/X11/xpm.h
~ 1001: rpm -q -f /usr/X11R6/include/X11/xpm.h
xpm-devel-3.4j-5
If you can't find xpm-devel on your distro, then check out rpmfind.net.
Everything in the world is there.

Try "configure --help". There is probably some kind of --with-jpeg switch
that you can use to tell it that you really know what you're doing.
