Hello.
Please note this email is sent with my *Ubuntu Community Council* and my
*Ubuntu Technical Board* hats on - therefore an urgent reply to this is
ABSOLUTELY required.
A specified maintenance window for Matrix was specified on Discourse
[1]. This maintenance window is now exceeded by over *two hours*
without any updates from IS or any representative of Canonical.
*All Release Team operations are inhibited by this, as are developer
process communications as this is a Release Week of Ubuntu.* This has
widespread Technical team implications as well as widespread Community
team implications.
*Therefore, on behalf of the Ubuntu Community Council and the Ubuntu
Technical Boards, we require an update ASAP on what is going on with
the maintenance, either posted publicly on the Discourse in response to
multiple pings for more information or on this email to both the CC and
TB lists. *(copied, note the Technical Board list is publicly archived,
so a response to this email directly with it CC'd will also amount to
publicly shared information on the outage.)
This has also been forwarded to the Canonical Community Team because
there is no way to directly contact IS on these major issues from
leadership councils, and this causes extra strain with the community and
Canonical when we can't get proper updates on what's going on.
