Hi, I was looking here:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates/MicroReleaseExceptions and I would kindly request that you add resiprocate to the micro release exception list. Some justification for this request: - upstream release manager is also the Debian/Ubuntu package maintainer, myself - upstream operates a strictly managed stable release branch[1], currently 1.9.x, updates on this branch are guaranteed to preserve ABI compatibility - there is a comprehensive upstream unit testing regime - unit tests are run in the package build process[2] and these are being checked on all the Debian build architectures - as a network-based application, it is important to release minor updates that maximize connectivity between users of the application. Metcalfe's law[3] is relevant here, it is important that the package in stable Ubuntu interoperates with the same packages in Debian and Fedora. I have also opened a bug report[4] requesting an SRU for Trusty and Utopic using the package currently in Debian jessie. This is an example of the type of issue that would be fixed in future updates on the stable branch.
