Thanks for the commit Nick. Though I saw it on src-changes@ I'm guessing you made it to your personal tree as you get ready for release? I've done further work on FAQ 14, and the changes a good deal more substantial. Rather than bombing the list with a long diff, both the rewritten HTML page, and the diff are available here: http://www.designtools.org/faq14.html http://www.designtools.org/faq14.html.diff2 I know the attachments will get stripped, but Nick will get them. Notes: * FAQ formatting conventions were followed (as best as I remember them). * There was a lot of redundant stuff between the disklabel and fdisk sections, but to remove it cleanly, it had to be consolidated at the start in a short new section. * Section 14.12 had been deleted a while ago, so renumbering didn't affect as much. * Changes in section numbering and order are as follows: OLD: # 14.1 - Using OpenBSD's fdisk(8) # 14.2 - Using OpenBSD's disklabel(8) # 14.3 - Adding extra disks in OpenBSD NEW: # 14.1 - Disks and Partitions # 14.2 - Using OpenBSD's fdisk(8) # 14.3 - Using OpenBSD's disklabel(8) # 14.4 - Adding extra disks in OpenBSD * The order of the fdisk and disklabel sections was reversed since this keeps things consistent with faq 4 and needed steps for platforms which require fdisk. * With the exception of renumbering where needed, only the the three old sections above have been changed. If this or something like it gets committed, then I'll work through the rest of the sections. * The old fdisk section was a regurgitation of the man page. An editing usage example was created. * The new fdisk and disklabel sections now present things in a generally similar order. * Many inaccuracies and outdated things have been fixed or removed in the three sections. * The HTML is about forty lines longer, but this is mostly due to using the "New Sentence, New Line" rule, and the addition of fdisk usage example, otherwise it would actually be about 30 lines shorter (more info with less reading).
