The Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition comes with Ubuntu. http://www.dell.com/us/business/p/xps-13-linux/pd?ST=linux%20laptop&dgc=ST&cid=265794&lid=5511066&acd=12309152537461020&ven1=wBsX3yAF&ven2=e This article from Jan 2014 lists a couple of sources: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/three-awesome-linux-laptops-can-buy-right-now/ It looks like there are a couple of outfits that sell an off the shelf laptop with Linux pre-installed. Based on what they offer you may be able to find the same system cheaper with Windows on it and install it yourself. I have also seen people discussing converting a chromebook to linux. And then there is the pi-top :) http://pi-top.com/#/product Personally I have run linux quite happily on ThinkPad T60 and R60 as well as on a 2008 Macbook (4,1). -- Matt Okeson-Harlow http://technomage.net
