Thanks everyone. After repeating on other systems yesterday, I learned, "Command Line Tools" update is unrelated to the bash security fix. Also, I have not seen anybody get their updates from software update yet. There appears to be misinformation in an article I read yesterday (here is the incorrect article) http://appleinsider.com/articles/14/09/29/apple-releases-bash-update-to-plug-shellshock-flaw As suggested by others here on this list, and as supported by my experience so far, they don't appear to be pushing the updates out through SU yet. Makes you say "WTF Apple." But I'm not too worried.
