Sorry for violating my own gag request. But the longer it remains unchanged, the more probable it seems it really was intentional, and not a hoax or a hack.
I have a new speculation: They were told to remove the hidden volume capability. They would rather commit suicide. They were told not to go public with the coercion attempt as lavabit did.
