Hi all, We are in need for some IPAM software to track usage of our IP space, and associate MACs <-> IPs <-> DNS names. What do you use and do you like (or dislike) it?
So far I've tested the open-source "Netdot" package (https://osl.uoregon.edu/redmine/projects/netdot) which works reasonably well for tacking IP space usage (and also MAC>->IP association), but lacks (from what I've been able to get it to do) in the IP<->DNS area (it's built to manage the DNS name allocation and generate BIND files, but we use Microsoft DNS here...) It also has a bunch of features that I don't need (such as network topology mapping, cable to IDF mapping, etc.) About ready to test Solarwinds IPAM as well... We'll see what's that's like.
