For anyone who runs a mailing-list manager,

There's a new message header to filter out from inbound messages,
"Require-Recipient-Valid-Since:".

Specification:

https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-appsawg-rrvs-header-field/?include_text=1

The header is already supported by Yahoo!, apparently; I understand the
use of the header and the security concerns section of the draft
addresses the problems which were immediately apparent, and despite my
initial negative reaction I think I agree with the new header's
introduction (and can see it being something which mailing-lists use for
themselves).

But you probably don't want posters to your lists being able to block
selected subscribers from receiving their mail and perhaps get those
victims blacklisted by your list software for bouncing: the messages
should only be rejected if your MLM is the software adding the header
and checking for the new rejection reason.

So: filter the message from inbound messages to the MLM!

Regards,
-Phil
