Sensu sounds interesting, and not too different from the way Puppet (factor, mcollective, puppetdb, etc.) work. Wouldn't it be ideal if there were an easy way to tie your configuration management system together with your service monitoring system? Are there any projects out there that even come close?
P.S. Yes, I know you can fake it with Nagios and scripting. I have, but it isn't very robust.
