Just seconding what Will Dennis said.

I migrated users into a new domain with no downtime or any of those
issues you mentioned.   I did them in batches, and just told a group
that tomorrow they should select domain A instead of B when logging
in.

I used sid history so that after I did the users they could still
access their files.  Then I did the servers.
