How bit-rotten are syspkgs?  Can we use that to prune the unpacked
copy of base.tgz in ramdisk that is used to run the instaler.

I also thought that we do support compressed ramdisk in _some_
scenarios with the help of the bootloader and the md(4) option
MEMORY_DISK_DYNAMIC (detached miniroot image).
