Currently the kernel will create wedges only from GPT labels. You need a kernel built with the DKWEDGE_METHOD_BSDLABEL option to get such names for disklabel partitions. There is some compatibility code so that default labels (with empty packname or a packname of 'fictitious') generate wedges named like a partition, e.g. wd0a, wd0b, etc. The libutil code also falls back to accept something like NAME=wd0a, NAME=wd0b, ... The fstab then works with and without DKWEDGE_METHOD_BSDLABEL for easier updates. But since the name includes the device name it doesn't help in this case. -- -- Michael van Elst Internet: mlel...@serpens.de "A potential Snark may lurk in every tree."
