I added kermit (gkermit, which was later replaced with ekermit). I added it because it is: A) Tiny B) Essential for recovering damaged systems with only serial console access. It's repeatedly been a lifesaver for me both in development and when helping customers recover their devices in the field after they screwed them up. Please don't remove it. A minimal but robust file transfer utility is an essential base system component for embedded use. > bpm in base.tgz I didn't even know this program existed!
