In general, it's not recommended to add a stub function which returns ENOSYS (i.e. "Function not implemented") unless there is strong reason to do so. Because autoconf fails to detect that the function is not really implemented, and fails to provide alternate implementation that the autoconf'ed application includes. And because there are many applications which do not check the ENOSYS erorr correctly and fails to work. -- soda
