Agreed; it's critical to allow improvements and to allow NetBSD to be
useful as a research platform.

Sure, but "let's drop them because we're migrating" is not a good
argument.

Perhaps Emmanuel can post a written design for the changes, so we can
understand how hard modifing existing disciplines is, new APIs, etc.
