Hello I have a machine that seems unable to control its fan, either during boot or once NetBSD is booted.
envstat reports it runs cool, but the fans blow at full speed. Beyond the annoying noise, fans die early, and vibrations make life difficult for mechanical hard drive. Is there any way to control fans through ACPI? acpi(4) says "The acpifan driver does not support controlling the fan", but is it something that needs to be implmented, or is it not possible? -- Emmanuel Dreyfus m...@netbsd.org
