Maybe what you are looking for is a way to interact with hivemind services instead of directly through the web layer?
I've had something for this for a while now but can't bring myself to add it into tacos until I'm ready to support it. We're also sort of debating some of the efficiencies of json/xslt/innerHTML replacement in the browser which makes this an even better reason to hold off until it's ready. Tapestry 4.1 will have everything that it needs for the web layer, but I don't see any rationalization for having this hivemind related stuff in there. It will probably have to live in tacos until someone finds a better home for it. Who knows...
