Aspect Oriented Programming, you mean?
You can develop your own services and use it in your application and use it
as the Metadata wherever required. If you need further clarification just
check the Springs Framework and in Tapestry it is widely useful.
I use Spring Framework because it's more mature than Hivemind and has support for a lot of different projects / technologies (like Hibernate, Transactions, etc). But it can be injected into Hivemind.
