You need the configuration file and usually a CLASSNAME.hbm.xml file for each class that shall be persisted (that is the normal setup) that is in the package where the .class file resides ...
In this case there seems to be something wrong with the setup of the whole project. If hibernate can't find the config file although it is there ...
I have to leave the office soon, but if you cannot find a solution zip the whole thing and mail it to me directly. I can look into it tomorrow.
What is your development environment,( OS/IDE) etc. ?
